Getting there: Taxis and rental cars are the most convenient ways to reach the hotel. Taxi fares are approximately $40 from O’Hare, $50 from Midway. Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: Northwestern University, Lake Michigan, and a number of restaurants are all within walking distance. The Best Western University Plaza provides complimentary shuttle service within a 2-mile radius between 8 AM and 5 PM. For longer distances, rental cars and taxis offer the most convenience. To reach downtown Chicago, visitors can walk two blocks to the CTA’s purple line and take it to a transfer point to the red line, continuing on to downtown. With high parking rates and heavy traffic, rental cars are not practical in downtown Chicago.
